Origin of Personal Data & Sensitive Personal Data

Osool Asset Management collects and processes your personal data to operate its platforms (i.e. website, mobile application, social media accounts) when you visit the website and you:

  • Contact us through using the “Contact Us” webpage or through our social media platform (e.g. Instagram).
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

 

Categories of Personal Data

Osool Asset Management may process the following personal data of website visitors, including but not limited to:

  • Identity details: name, gender, date and place of birth, nationality, ID/passport details, marital status.
  • Contact details: postal address, email address, phone number.
  • Employment information: employment status, job title, employer details.
  • Login information: username.

 

The web server automatically records details about the visit including IP address, the website from which the visitor visited the website, type of browser software used, website pages visited, and date and duration of the website visit.

Your Rights under Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) (Act No. 30 of 2018)

You have the right to submit your request free of charge to Osool Asset Management to:

  • Be notified about the complete data concerning you and request its rectification.
  • Remove, block, or restrict your personal data.
  • Object if your personal data is being used for direct marketing.
  • Object if processing may result in defamation or discrimination causing possible financial or moral damage.
  • Object if your personal data is being used for decisions based on automated data processing and request that processing not be solely automated.
  • Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data where consent is the lawful basis for processing.

Osool Asset Management shall process such requests free of charge within 10 working days, unless otherwise stipulated by law. A consent once given can be withdrawn at any time for future actions. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Authority (PDPA) regarding any violation of Bahrain PDPL.

 

Decisions Based on Automated Processing

Osool Asset Management will not take decisions based on automated processing of your personal data and will inform you in writing in case this condition changes.

 

Security of Your Personal Data

Platform visitors’ personal data is protected under Bahrain PDPL. Osool Asset Management implements technical and organisational security measures to protect your privacy, including during cross-border transfer and storage.

 

Retention Period of Your Personal Data

Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil its purpose, based on contractual validity, legal retention requirements, and historical archiving. Data is securely destroyed, erased, or anonymized after exceeding the retention period to prevent restoration.
